Beginning in 2007, the Alumni Board wanted to recognize young alumni (40 years old and younger) who are rising stars in their fields and have shown true potential to be great leaders. To date six young CLA alumni have been the recipients of the EVA.
The Emerging Voice Award is awarded to alumnus from Purdue University, College of Liberal Arts. The nominee must be 40 years of age or younger at the time the award is given. The award reception is held during the beginning of the fall semester. The nominee must be able to return to campus to accept his or her award on the date of the award reception.
