Dr. Hoffmann joined the faculty at Purdue University in 2001. Her work has been recognized with honors from a variety of institutions, including the American Bar Foundation, the Law and Society Association, the Midwest Sociologists for Women in Society, the Industrial Relations Research Association, and the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. Her research has received funding both from internal grants as well as from external sponsors, including the National Science Foundation and the Clifford Kinley Trust. She has presented papers at regional, national, and international conferences, such as the Midwest Sociological Society, the American Sociological Association (ASA), and the International Sociological Association's Research Committee on the Sociology of Law.
