We are in the process of planning four convenings, each focused on a different set of ethical issues surrounding AI and Big Data.
The initial convening, AI Know What You Want, initially planned for April 2020 in West Lafayette, will be postponed to a yet to be determined later date due to safety measures taken by Purdue University in response to the spread of COVID-19.
The convening will explore human social interactions with AI revolving around two key questions:
What ought future business leaders be educated/prepared to do in terms of decision making related to AI and automated work?
What questions/implications of AI tech-related business advances should future business leaders learn to see/anticipate?
The broad themes of the remaining three convenings are:
Interacting with the Physical Manifestations of AI in the Future of Work and Leisure
The event will take place in Indianapolis. Participants will include industry leaders, the tech community, and state government officials as panelists.
Who Will Regulate the Management of AI, Big Data, and Technology?
The event will take place in Washington, D.C., with speakers and audience to include industry and political leaders.
Data Management: Security and Privacy
The concluding event will take place in West Lafayette. Participants will include academics, industry leaders, and members of the tech community.
