Saturday, October 20, 6:00 pm, Underground Railroad book discussion sponsored by Barnes and Noble. 


Monday, November 5, 10:00 am, Fowler Hall.  Bonus "Dawn or Doom" conference event - George Anders' "You Can Do Anything."

Tuesday, November 6, 9:00 am, Fowler Hall.  Big Read Panel @ "Dawn or Doom" conference. 

Thursday, November 15, 6:00 pm.  "Indiana & and Underground Railroad," with Jeannie Regan-Dinius.  Tippecanoe Co Public Library Downtown.

Join the English Department & the Purdue Student Union Board every Thursday in February from 4-5 PM in PMU for our annual "Books and Coffee" series.

Tuesday, February 19, 7:00 pm, Long Center.  Presentation of African American "Living History."  $10 Adults and free under 14.

Wednesday, February 20, 7:00 pm, Long Center.  Cedric Watson.  $20 Adults and $10 under 14.


Saturday, March 23, 3:30-5:00 pm, West Lafayette Public Library.  Underground Railroad Book Discussion.  Sponsored by Von's Book Shop.


April 2, 4, 9 & 11, times and locations TBD.  "Big Read" mini-course on Underground Railroad.  Sponsored by the Wabash Lifetime Learning Association.

Finally, Colson Whitehead will be our distinguished guest speaker at our annual Literary Awards on Thurs. April 11!

 5:30-7:30 PM – Literary Awards Banquet with advice to young writers by Mr. Whitehead; tickets are $30.

 8:00-9:30 PM – Reading, Q & A, and book signing by Mr. Whitehead. Fowler Hall. Free and open to the public.
