PAIR is seeking one or more graduate assistants who will engage in an immersive education in American political institutions that stems from a combination of Ph.D. coursework, hands-on research collaboration on projects housed in PAIR, and engagement with government practitioners.They will participate in regular events and conferences associated with the Program and receive close mentoring from PAIR co-Directors Dr. Jesse Crosson and Dr. Logan Strother.
- PAIR-GAs are guaranteed five years of funding through Purdue’s Political Science PhD program, which includes a stipend, tuition remission, and support for travel to conferences each year.
- PAIR-GAs have access to research seed funding following the successful completion of qualifying exam.
- One year of the appointment will be a duty-free research fellowship while working on the dissertation.
- At the end of your Academic Statement of Purpose, include a short section titled PAIR-GA Applicant that describes why you think you would be a good fit for this position. Students are considered fully for both standard GA positions in the department and the PAIR positions.
