Purdue’s Pi Sigma Alpha Ranked Best Chapter for 6th Year!
Purdue’s Delta Omega chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha has once again been named Best Chapter, its 6th consecutive win. Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for university students of political and social science in the United States. With over 400 chapters, their purpose is to recognize and promote high academic achievement in the field of political science.
Ashton Cady, current Pi Sigma Alpha President and last year’s Secretary notes, “The work that we did last year as a club during the COVID-19 pandemic has laid a great groundwork for this upcoming year. I am excited to be going back to in-person meetings and to start building strong relationships with other political science students!”
In addition to the hard work of Pi Sigma Alpha members, Cady says the organization has been able to flourish thanks in part to the constant support of the University’s Department of Political Science. “We have also strengthened the bond between the Political Science Department and the club in order to build more resources for our members,” said Cady.
Pi Sigma Alpha recognizes excellence in academic achievement by college and university students in the field of political science, government, and international and public affairs. As a student organization, it host many activities throughout the year, including faculty and student colloquia, events with working professionals, resume workshops, and an end-of-the-year spring banquet and induction ceremony.
The Purdue chapter welcomes new members. For more information, contact psalpha@purdue.edu or visit their website.
