Drawing and Illustrations
Undergraduate Fine Arts Plan of Study
Contemporary drawing, painting, and printmaking have evolved into rich and complex art forms. The field today also encompasses alternative processes, mixed media, and collage. The program emphasizes self-exploration and individual expression. Students are encouraged to express ideas in visual form.
Graduate students are encouraged to explore conceptual issues, hybrid art forms, reinvigorate traditional forms, and engage in critical dialogue and writing. See MFA Studio Art.
Graduate students and undergraduates will have opportunities to exhibit their work. Professional practice is a significant part of the program and students may curate, organize, and install national and international exhibitions in our galleries.
