Xperimental Concert

October 16, 2020 – 7:30pm FREE

Join us for the premiere of our first ever virtual dance concert! The Xperimental performance is typically a semi-formal annual concert created and produced during the fall semester, and presented in our Dance Studio Theatre. This show is designed for trying out new and unusual ideas for dances. These dances can be very experimental, or perhaps a first-time choreographic attempt. We encourage bold experiments!! The concert is open to any dance styles, but insists on new and creative approaches to dance, and is usually performed in the round. This year due to all the limitations around public gatherings we will be creating a digital performance. It will premiere either in a projection outside of Pao Hall, which will be a live event involving distanced seating outdoors, or it will premiere on a video platform. Regardless of how it premieres on October 16, it will be available for viewing on the web beginning October 19!

Follow us on social media (FB and IG) to stay informed, or contact the Division of Dance for updated information.

XWorks 2021

This production is a formal annual dance concert in our black box theater, created and produced by students during the spring semester.

Due to restrictions in place in the 2020-21 school year, this XWorks will be produced as a virtual concert that will be presented online.

Since this is the first time our student directors have produced a video concert filmed in our Dance Studio Theatre in Pao Hall, all the details have not been determined. The concert will be filmed in mid-March, and released for virtual viewing later that month. There is a proposed public showing of the film on April 10, outside Pao Hall. Please watch our social media pages for continued updates.
