Blue Circle
Print
This woodblock print uses bold colors, contrast, thin carving and the advantage of the woodgrain to make this cohesive abstract piece. There is a large black and yellow border on the top of the piece. The ink is thin, so it shows the grain of the wood. Same with the bottom of the piece except it's in a deep red. The middle is taken up by either a white ink or uninked wood. There are two circles, a red rectangle in the middle and to the left a black square and to the right is a pattern of lines intersecting a horizontal line.
