Purdue Welcomes Maria Argentina Souza
New Lecturer in Theatre Joins Department
The Purdue University Department of Theatre is happy to welcome a new Lecturer in Theatre, Maria Argentina Souza. Maria will be joining Purdue as an instructor for the Spring 2020 semester, teaching Acting for the Camera, Voice for the Actor, and Theatre History II.
An alum of Purdue Theatre (’08), she comes to us from New York City after receiving her MFA in 2018 at The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. Maria brings training and experience to teach on-camera acting, technique and scene study (Strasberg Method), voice (Linklater), movement (Viewpoints), theatre history, creative collaboration, audition technique, scene study, devising, dance (West African and Ballroom with Alvin Ailey), classics, playwright/directing unit, and stage combat.
