Undergraduate

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese offers a Major in Spanish as well as two different Minors in Spanish: a Minor in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture, and a Minor in Spanish for the Professions, in addition to a Minor in Portuguese.

For those students who want to learn more about culture and have a unique immersion experience, they can apply to the different Study Abroad Programs that the Department of Spanish &  Portuguese offers. Also, while studying on campus, students and others can engage in different activities, like our film and lecture series, to increase their intercultural knowledge as well as to practice their language skills:

• Tertulia - Spanish Conversation Hour. Held at Staaks Lounge (SC 131) on Fridays starting the second week of classes each semester.
• Spanish Conversation Club
• Medical Spanish Club
