Our volume 47, Naciones intelectuales by Ignacio M. Sánchez Prado, was
awarded the Mexico Section's 2010 Humanities Book Prize on October 8. This
and six other PSRL Latin American titles were on display at the Scholarly Book
Services booth. In addition to Naciones intelectuales, there were books by Moisés R.
Castillo (Indios en escena), Richard A. Gordon (Cannibalizing the Colony),
Ryan Long (Fictions of Totality), Emanuelle Oliveira (Writing Identity),
Miguel López Lozano (Utopian Dreams, Apocalyptic Nightmares), and
Bruce Dean Willis (Aesthetics of Equilibrium).

The 50/50 Lectures is a series of lectures commemorating our
50-volume collaboration with Purdue University Press as the Press
celebrates its 50th birthday.
2011 speakers were Sarah Gordon, author of Culinary Comedy, and Richard Gordon,
author of Cannibalizing the Colony. The 2012 speaker was Daniela Flesler, author of
The Return of the Moor


2013: panel discussion with Lou Charnon-Deutsch, Maryellen Bieder, and Carmen Pereira-Muro, discussing Pereira-Muro's Género, nación y literatura


2014: book presentation and reception for Reframing Italy, by Bernadette Luciano and Susanna Scarparo, speaker Bernadette Luciano, at IU Film Symposium.
