PSRL Book Presentation and Reception at IU Film Symposium for Bernadette Luciano, co-author of Reframing Italy

The IU Cinema building was the site of a book presentation for Reframing Italy, the new book by Bernadette Luciano and Susanna Scarparo about women filmmakers in Italy. Co-author Bernadette Luciano spoke about their book and the experience of publishing with Purdue Studies in Romance Literatures and Purdue University Press. A reception was held that same evening in the Faculty Room of the University Club. The event was took place at the Fifth annual IU Film Symposium. The reception was co-sponsored by PSRL and the French and Italian Department of Indiana University. The presentation/reception was the 2014 offering in the annual PSRL event series. 100th Volume in Combined PUMRL-PSRL Series

PSRL is anxiously awaiting publication of the 100th volume of the combined Purdue University Monographs in Romance Languages (PUMRL)-Purdue Studies in Romance Literatures (PSRL) series, PSRL vol. 58, Sites of Disquiet: The Non-Space in Spanish American Short Narrative and Their Cinematic Transformations, by Ilka Keressner. Kressner's Sites of Disquiet is the latest in PSRL's collaboration with Purdue University Press. Between 1980 and 1992, as PUMRL, in collaboration with John Benjamins Publishing Company of Amsterdam and Philadelphia, the series published 42 volumes. In 1992 the series moved to Purdue University Press and changed its name to Purdue Studies in Romance Literatures. The first volume as PSRL appeared that same year. With the appearance of PSRL's volume 58, a combined total of 100 volumes have been published. For information on this volume, visit the volume's individual page.
