Biography

Eric Joseph is a PhD Candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at Purdue and an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Tutor Education for the Purdue On-Campus Writing Lab (OWL). He currently teaches the OWL's tutor training course, ENG 390 Theories and Methods of Mentoring Writers, and has been facilitating the Self-Paced Curriculum as a way of offering on-the-job training to newly hired Undergraduate Writing Consultants since 2022. Before coming to Purdue he earned an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing from William Paterson University where he was the Asynchronous Pedagogy Coordinator for the writing center. His dissertation is a narrative study of how returning college dropouts experience higher education.
