Music Theory

Gail Deagan, Continuing Lecturer in Music, teaches courses in music theory and World Music. She received a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Minnesota and specialized in vocal accompanying, chamber music, and musicology. Her bachelor's degree in music with a specialty in piano performance is from Butler University in Indianapolis.

Ms. Deagan has specialized in teaching and accompanying for over 30 years in various positions. She has served either as an instructor or staff accompanist at the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin Rock County Center, the University of Illinois, Purdue University, and the West Lafayette Community School Corporation.
