Mary Brown is broadly interested in Ethics and Moral Epistemology. She is also interested in Kant’s moral philosophy. Prior to coming to Purdue in the fall of 2021, she completed her Master of Arts degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A native North Carolinian, she also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Carolina University. Mary is the department’s representative in the Purdue Graduate Student Government senate and is also an advisor to one of the FSCL organizations on campus. Mary is also an avid houseplant gardener. She is a big football and baseball fan and loves to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers with her partner. When she is not reading or writing, she can be found out walking her dog at the Celery Bog.
