About me

Something interesting about me is that I am a professionally trained bra fitter--I worked at a small old-fashioned style boutique in Detroit and I was a bra fitter and manager there. Some people might think that it is trivial, but a well-fitted bra can change the quality of a woman's life! My back up plan in case academia doesn't work out,  is to work for a French lingerie company. Some of my hobbies include riding bikes, reading, and going to every coffee shop possible.
I like that I get to speak French with my students, because I always learn something new. I am not a native speaker of French, so sometimes students will ask me about a word that I don't know, so it gives me an opportunity to improve.
I am a comparative literature student, but I am a teaching assistant for French. I am very interested in crime literature, literature written by and about women, and trauma theory. I am hoping to explore some of these interests in my classes this semester.
