Social Movements and Political Sociology, International Political Economy, East Asia (Korea)

I am a political sociologist specializing in the study of social movements and international political economy, and am experienced in teaching substantive as well as methodological courses. My research examines the dynamics of power and contention and has been or will be appearing in Social Movement Studies, Sociological Focus, and Sociological Perspectives. As a teacher, I firmly believe in a model of undergraduate education through which students become independent learners.
