About
Tyler Rogers is the Assistant Technical Coordinator and an Audio Engineer at the Hall of Music at Purdue University. Having graduated from Purdue’s Theatre Department in 2015 with a BA in Sound for the Performing Arts, Rogers knows what it is like to be both a student and staff member at the University. That unique perspective, combined with his passion for teaching students, led him to completely revamp the Hall of Music’s training program for student workers in recent years. Because of his work to improve the learning opportunities for his students, Rogers was awarded the Student Life is You (SLISU) Award in 2018. Any student who has done work for the Hall of Music in recent years has probably gotten a lesson or two from Tyler!
During his summers as a Purdue student, Rogers interned at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the American Theatre Company in Chicago, Illinois and after graduation, he was hired full-time by the Hall of Music. Since then, he has worked shows ranging from conferences on bridge construction in the North and South Ballrooms to EDM concerts on Slayter Hill to Men’s Basketball games in Mackey Arena. Of all of the productions Tyler has worked on, Starry Night Music & Art Festival hosted annually by Purdue Christian Campus House and Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co. is his favorite because of its unique location and the great brands they bring in year after year.
Past experience: Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, American Theatre Company Internships, Cage the Elephant, San Holo, Baauer, MercyMe, Hoodie Allen, Broadway, Football, Men & Women’s Basketball
