Dissertation focus: Working at the intersection of food studies, American Studies, political ecology, and socioecological resilience theory, my research analyzes smallholder and alternative farms in the state of Indiana. Through this research, I will enhance understandings of local food systems, cultures, and economies, as well as the communities in which they are situated. 

Research Interests: food and farm policy, food sovereignty, socioecological resilience, land stewardship, local food systems, sustainable and regenerative agriculture, social movements, applied scholarship, advocacy, political ecology
