Emerging Leaders Scholars Program
Emerging Leader Scholars within the College of Liberal Arts will experience a hands-on, multifaceted, curricular, and co-curricular scholars’ program that will enhance academic success, instill leadership skills, and prepare students for future careers. This journey begins the summer of acceptance and continues through to graduation. Each year features unique opportunities to earn academic credits, build community, and gain professional skills and experiences.
ELS Program Journey
Fully Funded Participation in Summer Start (up to $4000 value)
Kick start your undergraduate career in this 8-week residential program. The Summer Start program for Emerging Leader Scholars include:- 9 credits
- tuition and housing included with meal plan
- 9 Liberal Arts courses to choose from including Sociology, Communications, Women & Gender Studies, History, and Political Science)
Assigned Peer Boiler Mentor
Don’t worry, you will not be alone in this experience. Each student is assigned a peer mentor to help them navigate the program successfully.
Engage with World-Renowned Faculty
Interact with diverse faculty from various disciplines across the college to foster professional and academic relationships.
Community Building
Connect with multicultural students from all over to develop lifelong relationships and social networks.
