Lisa VanZee joins the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts as an Assistant Professor after receiving her M.F.A. in Interior Design in 2011. She began her career in computer visualization, where she was previously involved in computer graphics technology, art-animation research and teaching. She also holds an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology from the College of Technology at Purdue University. Her previous work experience includes three-dimensional rendering and animation for both architectural firms and military simulations.

Her research interests include interior visualization and lighting analysis. Her research involves replicating interior lighting design (both natural and artificial) in digital simulations for energy efficiency and sustainability. At Purdue University, she will teach lighting design and computer visualization for interiors.
