How has your internship helped build skills and clarify your career goals?

This internship has helped me build skills in the realm of information technology that I wouldn't have otherwise thought to explore. Through the opportunities available to me in this internship, I have further affirmed that I want to dedicate my career to both public service and supporting the mission of the current and future administrations.

How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills in your internship?

Throughout the duration of this internship, I have had the ability to use skills I have obtained while studying in the college of liberal arts and see how those skills are applicable in the workplace environment. most critical in my internship is carrying out effective research, communicating effectively, critical thinking, and innovating new ways of carrying out daily tasks to be more effective.

What is a typical day like as an intern, any challenging or exciting aspects?

In a typical day, I will attend meetings, manage programs, complete data entry, obtain data from multiple databases, compile data, and carry out research to support the mission of the administration. The most exciting aspect of my role is networking the most challenging aspect of my role was learning to use computer programs and research databases that I had never interacted with before.
