How has your internship helped build skills and clarify your career goals?

My internship helps me gain hands on research experience as well as gaining hands on experience in my field of work.

How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills in your internship?

I have taken multiple classes in this field in the Liberal Arts College and it helps me contribute to the research as well as help me educate others.

What is the a typical day like as an intern, any challenging or exciting aspects?

This internship is meaningful to me because it is making it so I can graduate a semester early! This is also making it so I am able to work on a research project with Purdue. It also helps me network with people in my field of work. Some of the most challenging parts is not being able to make any contact with anyone other than my fellow workers because I’m in an indigenous area, but it gives me the excitement to dive full into work with a part of the world that not everyone gets to experience! This is a once in a life time experience and I’m glad to be a part of it representing Purdue’s college of liberal arts program!
