Hands-On Public Relations Experience

Are you interested in gaining hands-on public relations experience and working with real clients? Do you want to expand your professional development and network with industry professionals? If so, Boiler Communication is the perfect organization for you!

Boiler Communication is Purdue University’s student-run public relations firm within the Brian Lamb School of Communication in the College of Liberal Arts. As a member of Boiler Communication, you will have the opportunity to manage your own accounts and work with non-profit organizations and businesses within the West Lafayette community. You will also create, implement, and evaluate a strategic PR campaign for each client, gaining valuable experience.

In addition to working with clients, Boiler Communication also provides several opportunities to expand your professional development. We encourage student attendance at local Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) events, offer leadership positions within the firm, and host guest speakers throughout the semester. These opportunities will help you develop your network and gain a deeper understanding of the PR industry.

To get involved with Boiler Communication, you must be a student at Purdue University and have an interest in public relations. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide training and support for all members. The organization is structured as a class and meets weekly throughout the semester.
