2022bcBooks and Coffee 2022

Everybody knows a great book from the past, whether it’s Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice or Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick.  But what are the great books of the present?  That’s the question the English Department’s Books and Coffee series has explored since 1951.  Every Thursday in February, a faculty member discusses a recent book that’s made some waves, something you may have heard of but haven’t gotten around to reading. This is your opportunity to hear expert commentary on a new book that is a vital part of contemporary print culture.

Join us at 4:00 PM each Thursday in February 2022 for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or other hot beverage in STEW 302/306 and stay for the speaker's presentation at 4:30 PM.

These books will be available at Von's Bookstore in West Lafayette and Second Flight Books in Lafayette
