The School of Languages and Cultures' World Language Teaching Concentration will prepare you to teach in grades 5-12. World Language teachers are essential in preparing the next generation with the intercultural competence and skills to be successful in the 21st century
Students can enroll in the teaching licensure program for grades 5-12 in the following language majors:
CHINESE | LATIN | FRENCH |
GERMAN | JAPANESE | SPANISH |
Students take courses within the School of Languages and Cultures and in the College of Education to complete degree requirements, student teach in a local school, and then receive licensure to teach in Indiana public schools.
This program meets state and national licensure standards and is accredited
by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Indiana State Board of Education. *Admission to & successful completion of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) required.
