Submitting to The Bell Tower

BELL TOWER SUBMISSIONS

The editors of The Bell Tower are always looking forward to receiving the best work Purdue's undergraduates have to offer. This is a unique chance for students to get published, as well as to contribute to the artistic community on campus. Purdue's Student English Association is proud to be responsible for this publication, and we welcome any feedback or general inquires from anyone in association with Purdue.

Rules for Submission

Please submit no more than:

  • 15 pages of 1 short story OR 1 nonfiction piece 
  • 1-3 poems
  • 1-3 artworks 
  • 1-3 photographs 

 Only 3 submissions allowed in all. 

The author's name must not appear on the submitted file.

Only students registered for the 2018-19 academic year (or one semester, either fall or spring) at Purdue University are eligible.

Please fill out the Purdue Bell Tower Submission Form and attach your file/submission (pdf files only) in the space provided and submit.

An Important Note Regarding Judging
All undergrads, including those aiming to be judges for The Bell Tower, are allowed to submit to the magazine.  Judges are prohibited from evaluating their own work as well as any other work in the categories to which they have submitted.  They have no influence on or knowledge of the final scoring of their work.
