Law and Armed Conflict (LAC) Research Lab

Welcome to the Law and Armed Conflict (LAC) research lab. LAC supports the efforts of affiliated researchers to conduct and disseminate research on law and/or armed conflict.

More specifically, it produces knowledge on the implications of law for armed intra- and interstate conflict, governance, and peace processes. Additionally, it engages with ways that methodological tools can facilitate our understanding of armed conflict events.

The work is rigorous, impactful, and policy relevant. It involves graduate and undergraduate students conducting collaborative research within and outside of political science. A diversity of theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches are taken to understand the determinants and consequences of law and conflict management/resolution.
