Working from a list of learning outcomes provided by the faculty, each year the season selection committe (a group of faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students) spends the fall semester reading dozens of plays, weighing them against this list to measure not only what is artistically interesting and financially viable, but also what is educationally appropriate. By November, the committee will settle on a list of plays that is proposed to the faculty and staff for a department vote.
