Bio:

Alexis' research mainly focuses on the acquisition and quantitative analysis of second language pronunciation features. In particular, she is interested in how different training materials affect the production of tone and pitch accent in Mandarin and Japanese respectively. She is also interested in the comparison and development of different analyses for comparing first and second language acoustic datasets.

Research interests:

second language acquisition, phonetics of Chinese and Japanese dialects, relationships between multiple learned foreign languages
