Biography:

Josh earned both of his B.A. and M.A. in Media and Information from Michigan State University. He is currently a doctoral student in the Lamb School of Communication with a focus on media, technology, and society. Josh is a gaming enthusiast, doing research in them as well.

Research and Teaching:

Josh's research interests lie in the fields of media effects and media psychology, with a focus on utilizing quantitative methods such as experiments and surveys to explore these areas. His research examines how various media forms (i.e., video games) influence human behavior and cognition. Josh has taught courses such as COM 114 (Presentational Speaking) and COM 102 (Introduction to Communication Theories). He has also served as a teaching assistant for COM 318 (Persuasion) and COM 256 (Introduction to Advertising). His work has been featured at conferences held by International Communication Association (ICA)
