R.J. Barnes teaches Ancient Greek and Latin language courses as well as courses on Greco-Roman history and culture. He's the author of various book chapters and articles on Greco-Roman intellectual history—especially at the interface of comedy, aesthetics, religion, and philosophy—and is finalizing a book-length manuscript on the idea of enchantment in early Greek thought.
