Todd Borlik received his Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Washington. He was formerly Professor of Shakespeare Studies at the University of Huddersfield in the UK. He is the author of three books and over thirty articles and book chapters on Shakespeare and his contemporaries. His research focuses on early British literature, the pre-history of environmentalism, magic and science, energy, bioethics, and adaptation. He has been an invited speaker at Shakespeare’s Globe, the University of Oxford, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and on BBC Radio 3. Recent publications include Shakespeare Beyond the Green World, the introduction to the Oxford World’s Classics edition of As You Like It, and a co-edited collection on The Winter’s Tale
