Liz Hall and Joey Marshall
Congratulations to Liz Hall (Anthropology) and Joey Marshall (Sociology) who have recently been awarded with the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program Fellowship (GRFP), which provides a 3-year annual stipend of $32,000 along with an allowance for tuition and fees.
Liz Hall is currently completing her MS in Anthropology, where her work is serving as a pilot for her developing PhD research on Zoonotic Pathogens: Disease Transmission among Apes and Humans in Mosaic Habitats in West and Central Africa. Liz's major professor is Dr. Melissa Remis.
Joey Marshall is currently completing an MS in Sociology and will transition to the PhD program after the spring semester. His research focuses on the extent to which religion, as one of the most powerful sources of human identity, may reinforce social divisions or foster values of trust and altruism. Joey's major professor is Dr. Daniel V. A. Olson.
