Kelli Adolay
Kelli Adolay, a senior in interior design, won a student SOURCE Award at LIGHTFAIR International, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference held in New York City. The awards, sponsored by power management company Eaton, are judged for aesthetics, creativity, and technical performance, but Adolay was also cited for her energy-efficient design.
Adolay, who also minors in building construction management, designed her display during her junior year in Assistant Professor of Interior Design Lisa VanZee’s interior lighting design class. Her conceptual lighting design for a department store was inspired by the outdoors, and featured warm colors, natural materials, half walls, and tinted glass, as well as a comingation of LED downlights, pendant lights, and track lighting to highlight merchandise and create focal points.
Congratulations to Kelli Adolay for her winning design!
