Katie Whitmore and Kadari Taylor-Watson
Congratulations to two of our graduate students—Katie Whitmore of the Department of Anthropology and Kadari Taylor-Watson of American Studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies—upon winning the opportunity to participate in the competitive Humanities Without Walls Pre-Doctoral Summer Workshop for students interested in pursuing alternative academic careers.
The Humanities Without Walls Pre-Doctoral Summer Workshop provides full funding for 30 pre-doctoral students to participate in an intensive, three-week program designed to encourage students to explore careers both inside and outside the academy. As program fellows, Katie and Kadari will have the opportunity to meet and learn from leaders in public humanities projects, university presses, digital humanities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and university administration in a series of workshops. These workshops, facilitated and directed by the Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF), will take place in Chicago.
Congratulations, Katie and Kadari. We look forward to hearing what you learn!
