Liz Mercier
Liz Mercier, continuing lecturer in Latin and Greek, has been awarded a competitive fellowship to complete the Diploma Programme in Manuscript Studies at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies in Toronto and Rome.
As part of a select group of scholars, Liz will spend the next two summers completing an intensive credentialing program in mediaeval manuscript studies, first at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies in Toronto, and the following year at the American Academy in Rome. The program offers courses in paleography, codicology, manuscript studies, and other specialized fields, and culminates in a final independent project completed in consultation with the program directors.
The program is supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and Liz will receive a fellowship to offset travel and living expenses.
Congratulations, Liz!
