William Gray
Please join me in congratulating William Gray, associate professor of history, upon receiving the 2015 DAAD Prize for Distinguished Scholarship in German and European Studies. The DAAD Prize is given annually by the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) at Johns Hopkins University to foster a new generation of American scholarship on Germany and encourage innovative contributions to the interdisciplinary scope of German studies.
Will was selected to receive the DAAD Prize for his work on the history of German foreign relations. His published articles and book chapters have examined German approaches to European integration, the recent history of U.S.–German relations, the Bretton Woods monetary system, and nuclear non-proliferation. He is currently working on a study of West Germany’s search for a global role in the 1960s and 1970s.
Congratulations to Dr. Gray!
