Recognition of Clerical Staff Service
Please join me in recognizing four employees who have dedicated significant service to the College of Liberal Arts, celebrating their service anniversaries this spring: Jill Aldridge, Tina Dexter, Brenda Gunion, and Michelle Ryker.
Jill Aldridge has served the Department of Anthropology for 10 years. “I have had the privilege to watch the Department of Anthropology transform over the past several years,” she says, reflecting on her time in the department. “I especially enjoy our spring awards banquet, where all the faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students come together and we get to see the fruits of our labor. It makes me proud to be part of this team and the College of Liberal Arts.”
Tina Dexter has served in CLA academic advising for 16 years, and says, “I love the contact I have with students working in the College of Liberal Arts academic advising office. Liberal arts students are the best!”
Brenda Gunion has served the Department of Anthropology for 15 years. “When I came to work here 15 years ago, my main purpose was to further my career and get my Purdue degree,” she explains. “I am happy to say that I have accomplished both. I earned my BA in general communication in December 2010 and have grown in my career as well. Fifteen years went by very quickly, and I am looking forward to at least 15 more!”
Michelle Ryker has served in College of Liberal Arts administration for 10 years, currently in the Department of English business office. “I have met a lot of people over the years, and I enjoy working in CLA and getting to know a variety of fun, interesting people,” says Michelle. “Purdue is a great university and a great place to work.”
Congratulations to our colleagues Jill, Tina, Brenda, and Michelle, and please join me in thanking them for their service to the College of Liberal Arts and their respective units.
