R. Douglas Hurt
Please join me in congratulating Professor and Head of the Department of History R. Douglas Hurt for being awarded the Gladys L. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Field of Agricultural History. The award was given by the Agricultural History Society.
Doug has served as editor for Agricultural History and Ohio History. Some of his most recent publications include: Food and Agriculture during the Civil War (Praeger, 2016), Agriculture and the Confederacy (The University of North Carolina Press, 2015) and The Great Plains during World War II (University of Nebraska Press, 2008).
