Discovery Excellence Awards
Please join me in congratulating five distinguished faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts for receiving the CLA Discovery Excellence Awards, the College's highest recognition for outstanding achievement in the creative arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Representing excellence in research and creative endeavors by CLA faculty, the Discovery Excellence Award is designed to recognize the quality, impact, and breadth of discoveries that faculty have had its areas of focus.
The winner of the Creative Arts Award is Richard Thomas, professor of theatre in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts. Rick is a composer, sound designer, author, and playmaker who specializes in sound design within the theatre department.
