Alejandro Cuza
Please join me in congratulating Alejandro Cuza, professor of Spanish and linguistics, on his newest publication: Cuban Spanish Dialectology: Language Variation and Change (Georgetown University Press, 2017).
This volume addresses previous lacunae on Cuban Spanish research by providing a collection of 14 articles on a range of theoretical perspectives and linguistic areas relative to Cuban Spanish from the island and in contact with English in the United States. Areas include phonological and phonetic variation, morphosyntactic and lexical approaches, sociolinguistic perspectives, and the acquisition of Cuban Spanish as a heritage language.
Congratulations, Professor Cuza!
