Irwin Weiser
Please join me in congratulating Irwin Weiser, Professor of English, for the publication of his most recent edited collection, The Internationalization of US Writing Programs (Utah State University Press), co-edited with Shirley K Rose, Professor of English at Arizona State University and Professor of English Emerita at Purdue.
The collection includes an introduction written by Weiser and Rose and 14 chapters by prominent scholars who explore how the rapid increase in the number of degree-seeking international undergraduates in U.S. universities has required writing program administrators to reexamine their curriculum, institutional partnerships, and faculty development programs to improve writing instruction for all students in this changing environment.
The collection is the fourth collaboration by Weiser and Rose, who have previously edited The Writing Program Administrator as Researcher (Boynton/Cook Heinemann, 1999), The Writing Program Administrator as Theorist (Boynton/Cook Heinemann, 2002), and Going Public: What Writing Programs Learn from Engagement (Utah State UP, 2010).
Congratulations, Professor Weiser!
