Melinda Zook

Please join me in congratulating Melinda Zook, professor of history and director of the Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts program, for receiving the Purdue University Faculty Scholar Award.

The University Faculty Scholars Program recognizes faculty members “who are on an accelerated path for academic distinction. Eligible faculty must hold the rank of tenured associate or full professor and have been in that rank for no more than five years. Faculty Scholars are appointed for a nonrenewable five-year term and receive an annual $10,000 discretionary allocation.”

In addition to her work as a teacher and mentor, Melinda is the author of Radical Whigs and Conspiratorial Politics in Late Stuart England (Penn State, 1999) and Protestantism, Politics and Women in Britain, 1660-1714 (Palgrave, 2013). She also co-edited Revolutionary Currents: Nation Building in the Transatlantic World (Rowman & Littlefield, 2004), Challenging Orthodoxies: The Social and Cultural Worlds of Early Modern Women (Ashgate, 2014), and Generations of Women Historians: Within and Beyond the Academy (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).

Congratulations, Professor Zook!
