Christopher Cayari
Please join me in congratulating Christopher Cayari, assistant professor of music from the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, for being named the 2021 Outstanding Emerging Researcher by the Center for Music Education Research. Chris was recognized for his article “Learning strategies of video game music makers: Informal and school-based learning for online publication” in the International Journal of Music Education. A video version of his article is also available on YouTube.
The Outstanding Emerging Researcher Award is a biannual award given by the Center for Music Education Research at the Suncoast Music Education Research Symposium. Chris’s research was partially funded by an ASPIRE Research Enhancement Grant from the College of Liberal Arts.
