Jeremy Reynolds
Please join me in congratulating Jeremy Reynolds, professor of sociology, for receiving a $29,135 Presidential Grant from the Russell Sage Foundation. Reynolds’ project is titled “Gig Work and the Pandemic: Were Bad Jobs Good During the COVID-19 Crisis?”
The project examines the risks and benefits of gig work by studying people who were active on Amazon's crowdsourcing marketplace just before the COVID-19 pandemic began, then evaluating the extent to which the income they earned through the platform served as a financial life raft.
Congratulations, Professor Reynolds!
