Outstanding Senior in Philosophy Award

The Department of Philosophy's Outstanding Senior in Philosophy Award is awarded every year to a graduating philosophy major who exhibits academic excellence in the field. The award is accompanied by the Matchette Prize. Both the Outstanding Senior in Philosophy Award and the Matchette Prize are given at the Department of Philosophy Undergraduate Awards Ceremony in late April.

Criteria for Eligibility:

All senior philosophy majors who exhibit academic excellence in the field and have an overall accumulated GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible to be nominated for the Outstanding Senior in Philosophy Award.

To Apply:

Candidates are nominated by Department of Philosophy faculty early in the spring semester of their senior year.
