Arte para el pueblo (Art for the People): Reclaiming Our Identity in Post-Revolutionary Mexico
August 24 through September 25, 2020
Ringel Gallery, Stewart Center
From the end of the Mexican Revolution in 1920, the muralist movement created art for the people, forging a new, unified, national identity. This exhibition features artwork from Purdue Galleries’s permanent collection, including works from Jose Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, Guillermo Meza, and David Alfaro Siqueiros, selected to illustrate the revolutionary power of art.
