Diversity and Science
Sandra Harding argues that a diverse group of scientists is a necessary for sound, rigorous science. But achieving diversity in the scientific professoriate has progressed in fits and starts, with some hypothesizing that further improvements cannot be made because of biological or family issues. Experts on diversity and science challenge this complacency, highlighting the problems and potential that stem from advancing diversity in science. The center will sponsor a series of lectures or a symposium of nationally prominent scholars who study diversity and science.
